2010 Bay Ball

Since its inception in 1995, the Bay Ball has become the major community fundraiser for the Whitefish Bay Public Education Foundation raising over $800,000. Our increasing governmental budget restraints have made fundraising through the Whitefish Bay Public Education Foundation necessary in order to maintain the high academic standards of our schools. Our schools have come to depend on this money.
This year, the money raised will be used to enhance our 21st Century Learning Skills Initiative to give our students access to valuable curriculum resources and learning tools. Our goal is to provide netbooks - smaller, scaled-down versions of notebook computers with nearly full-sized keyboard and 10-inch display, to the schools to support achievement of the goals of the initiative. Netbooks can give our students a level of information and communication technology access that only some have enjoyed in our schools to date.
